Disclaimer: DAV Alamo Chapter 5 is a San Antonio area Disabled American Veterans Chapter. Our Chapter Service Officers (CSO) main objective is to assist the veterans with their initial claims, reopen and denied claims. Ensure they obtain all medical evidence and to include source documents (such as TDY/PCS orders to hostile overseas locations, performance evaluations, statements of evidence and any other documents to back-up their claim). Finally, if the veteran disagrees with the VA rating, we encourage the veteran to see our NSO’s and pursue a reconsideration (a new VA adjudicator would be reassigned to that claim). We are not allowed by law to contact the National Service Office at Frank Tejeda or the Regional Office in Houston.
