Chapter 5 had a very successful year in 2017 and I want to thank all of our members, leaders, volunteers and supporters for their contributions to that success. BTW: It looked like everyone had a great time at the luncheon.
Some of our achievements: Forget Me Nots as Sam’s Club Golden Corral Veterans Day Weekend Partnering with the Jewish Wounded Warriors and donating a new Bingo machine to the Community Living Center Giving Bingo parties and donating toiletries to the CLC Bingo and Christmas parties to the Veterans Home in Floresville Donating to Segs4Vets Providing gift certificates to the Audie Murphy Bone Marrow Unit Providing claims assistance to many veterans
Volunteering to support the very successful DAV5K Walk, Run, Stroll event Donating toys for Toys For Nots as a last minute notice (that was totally awesome) Growing our chapter membership The Auxiliary making holders for the veterans at Floresville Assisting with the medal ceremony for a former Merrill’s Marauder And more

We have several members that are or have been under the weather this year. I ask for all to keep them in their prayers.
